Hudgens Memorial Award for Young Healthcare Executive of the Year.

Matthew R. Gaventa, 05MA, pastor of Amherst Presbyterian Church in Amherst, Va., and the 2012 recipient of the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City's David H.C. Read Preacher/Scholar Award, was recently featured on Day 1, a nationally syndicated ecumenical radio program.

Kathleen C. Campbell, 89PhD, professor and director of audiology research at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Ill., was recognized as part of Sangamon County's 2013 Medical Innovators Program for her research on the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss.

Becky Foster Crane, 72BA, a philanthropist and president of the board of directors for the Nehemiah Center, a support center for at-risk children and their families in Houston, recently received Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women's Carolyn Helman Lichtenberg Crest Award in recognition of her community service.

Richard G. Hardy*, 75BA, an attorney with the Ulmer & Berne law firm in Cleveland, has been named to the 2013 Ohio Super Lawyers list.

William George Hess*, 71MA, 74PhD, who recently retired as an associate professor of elementary and early childhood education from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Ga., after nearly 28 years of teaching and administrative service, is an adjunct instructor with the Price School of Education at Reinhardt University in Waleska, Ga.

Lou L. Holtz, 62MA, an ESPN personality and retired football coach, received the 2012 Centennial Alumni Award from the College of Education, Health, and Human Services at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio.
